I HAVE A DREAM

Last week I spent easily 20+ hours on my key interest. My life pretty much revolves around my key interest I'm constantly watching youtube videos that are related to videography and just things that have to do with cameras or recording. I also was out recording a video last week which can be found on my Instagram. So I'm usually always doing something that involves my key interest which is something I'm grateful for. This week my goal is to at least get one video done which I will be watching gimbal movements and so on so when I do record this week I will be prepared.

LEARNING LOOKS DIFFERENT

When I first heard about this program I didn't think it was going to be any different from any other school program I mean after all it is a school program. The first day of class in OSLA felt really good it actually felt different at first I didn't really know exactly it was different but It just felt different. But as time went on I really started noticing what exactly was the difference. What's the difference? well, there's a lot but the main difference is the way the teacher and the learner communicate. You probably didn't notice I said learner instead of student and well that's one of the differences, The teacher doesn't treat us as students. why? well because students are people that sit, stay quiet, and listen to whatever the teacher is saying. A  learner is someone that talks and communicates with the teacher about the topic. A learner doesn't sit there and watch, a learner will take part in the activity or topic and learn more about what is going on. I have learned a lot this semester but one of the most important things I learned was how to communicate. In school you don't really learn how to communicate correctly, In class, you're not really able to talk to your teacher one on one but in OSLA I was able to have those one on one conversations. I've also been learning more about videography which is something I was not able to learn at all in normal courses especially since the school itself doesn't have any classes for videography so overall I've learned a lot in OSLA  and I am excited about the future.

REAL ESTATE

I've recently been watching videos of investing and Real estate. I think Real estate is a really good way to make income since you can basically live for free and make money. what do I mean by that? well you can do something called "The House Hack" which is when you buy an apartment complex or something similar and you move into one of the apartments while you rent out the others, By doing this you can live for free while making some sort of income from the people paying you rent. It's a really smart thing to do since you can, later on, buy another property and so on until you live in your own huge mansion (if that's what you wish).

OPEN SOURCE THINKING

I  am really excited to start using this new software that Dr. Preston and Martin have created. I've never met anyone that has been able to create their own software so this is a very interesting experience. The fact that we own everything that gets posted is incredible since for any other software if the company wanted to they could shut down everything and there goes all my work. I really like how we can see how many people are on the website at the moment for example when we were in class learning about the website for the first time I was surprised to see the same amount of people in my class were on the website and as we went on everyone learned how the name themselves so we wouldn't just be named "unknown" on the site. I also really like how we were able to write and edit in real-time. which means we can work on group projects on a website and also help each other work look better if we think there is something we could fix. There is also a recording saved of what was typed and what was deleted which is really good if you ever accidentally delete something and you forget what it was or just to see what was done on the site.

MY DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

I had US History last year so I have an idea of what's the Declaration Of Independence. From my understanding, the Declaration Of Independence is when the US announced the separation of the North American British colonies from Great Britain.

I'M GETTING GOOD AT THIS

 I was looking through my emails when I read an email from Dr.Preston.  It was another question only I could answer. I started to read the question but this question was different it had some words I didn't know so I had to go on google and look up the meanings behind the words I didn't understand, For example, Sophistry I never heard this word so I had to look up the meaning. Sophistry is the use of false arguments with the intention of deceiving. After I learned the meaning of the word I decided to keep reading but as I read it didn't make much sense since I didn't know what movie Dr. Preston was talking about so I had to read the question over and over until I understood the question better. From what I understood Dr. Preston was talking about the way movies are now. what do I mean by that? Well, I think he's trying to say the movies now in days are just action-packed movies there is not much storytelling like back then when movies would have a huge and amazing story and how the story developed as the movie went on. I do agree some movies are just all about action yes they tell a story but sometimes it doesn't make sense or it just feels like the characters and story are all over the place. I also noticed Dr. Preston used some words the relate to my previous courses, for example, He included the word Covalent bond which is related to chemistry, and last semester I had a chemistry class so I see how he made a connection there.

Binary means all the code that comes from this median is all code made up of 0 and 1
